Happy New Year!

Isn't it amazing how much time a person can kill jumping from site to site on xanga? Anyway. . . .

Volleyball practice starts on monday! Twenty plus girls in one teeny, tiny gym doing pure conditioning for the first week.  Gotta love it!

Also, conference is fast approaching (which weekend is it? I'm not quite sure, it still remaind a mystery to me) and I plan to do everything in my power to give away my shifts at work so that I can make it for at least a day or two. I'm really glad it's only a couple hours away this year cause after I hung out with monica and steph the other night, I got a really bad case of, well, lets just say that I want to see my rosedale buds very much!

Speaking of rosedale, about a month ago at work I was walking through the dining area and I heard someone say my name. So, naturally, I look around to see who was speaking and there is Jen Embleton!  I guess her fiance's cousin was getting married in Goshen that weekend and so she was with him and his family.  It totally made my night.  Oh, and in case you where wondering, her ring is amazing!

Monica's home! That's right, Sunday morning I was so blessed to see Monica after she had been gone so many, many months.  It's so good to have you home, Monica!

Lately, my life has been busy! I became a member at chruch a couple weeks ago which was a big deal for me.  Don't get me wrong, I feel very much at home at ROLF and I have been invovled in different aspects of the church for awhile but the membership thing was the icing on the cake!

This fall I will be coaching JV VB and assiting with Varsity at my old high school.  I've already had a number of open gyms and then next week starts the Goshen College Summer league in which our little school will be playing against big public schools.  If that isnt scary enough, depending on the week, we will be missing 2-3 of our most talented and experienced players.  Ahh!

Since my schedule will be crazy this fall with coaching and stuff, my employer (which I want to say that I am so thankful that they agreed to work with my schedule) had decided that by training me for breakfast I will be able to work more hours.  So, next week I'm scheduled to work at 6:00 and at 5:00.  Please keep in mind that this is a.m. I'm not sure how pleasant I will be that early in the morning but I guess it's a good thing that I love our coffee at work!

Well, I'd better get going before I'm late for work!

Ok. So its been over a month since I have posted.  Since I am a big fan of lists I will list the highlights of the past month in random order

1- "Prepare the Way" - This is an Easter Drama that the young adults and young marrieds from my church performed this Easter.  A lot of fun, a lot of work, but so rewarding.

2- My birthday- Yep, I turned the big '21' on April 19th.  Don't worry, the strongest beverage I have drunk since then is regular coffee.

3- Season #1 of "I Love Lucy"- I justifed spending too much on this purchase by categorizing it as my birthday gift to myself.

4- Finals- After tomorrow I will be done with school for the semester (with the exception of a few small tasks)

Well, I have to head out.  American Idol starts in five minutes!
